The Reindeer Romp, which is a 5K race (that's 3.5 miles!), for Girls on the Run was very fun.

It was great to experience the Reindeer Romp. It was cold that day, but when we started to run, we got warmer because we were running up and down hills.

If you are athletic and love to run, you should give Girls on the Run a try. Every Wednesday and Friday for twelve weeks, we stayed after school and practiced running for one hour. On practice days, all of the girls were really excited. At first, before practice, we would all talk about our behavior and how we were going to run. It was a good confidence booster.

On the day of the race, I woke up very early. It was so exciting! Every person there was ready to run, and our toes felt like they were going to fall off. It was so cold! But as we met each mile mark, we felt so good and happy.

Girls on the Run was a lot of fun. Please try it out, and maybe you could be the winner. The only thing is that everyone feels like a winner at the end!
