King Street Coffee Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Scheduled for Friday, October 1, 2010

From the Town of Leesburg, VA – At 5:30 pm, on Friday, October 1, 2010, Town of Leesburg officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for King Street Coffee, located at 110 South King Street in historic downtown Leesburg.  Mayor Umstattd will be officiating.

King Street Coffee is located at the corner of South King Street and Royal Street SE, one block from the W&OD Trail, with an adjacent parking lot in the rear. Their menu features locally roasted beans as well as brewed coffee, favorite espresso drinks, gourmet tea, other iced cold beverages and freshly baked treats.  Visitors can linger in the indoor seating area or enjoy the front porch or garden seating.

Owner Kimberly Nevin and her husband Tom recently relocated to Loudoun County, bringing with them years of experience in the hospitality industry.

“With this well-known location, we saw the potential in once again offering good, locally roasted coffee in downtown Leesburg,” said Nevin.  “From the moment you enter the shop, you smell freshly baked scones, muffins and cookies.  Customers can either get their coffee to go or linger a while.  Our front sitting room is the perfect gathering spot for locals and tourists alike, or if you prefer taking in the ambiance of historic Leesburg, try our red rocking chairs on the front porch.  For a quieter moment, we have cozy Adirondack chairs in the garden.  We look forward to playing an active role in Leesburg’s downtown business community.”
