Washington, DC (December 1, 2011)—The all new Washington Home & Garden Show is extremely pleased to announce that Ty Pennington, the iconic host of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will headline the March 9-11 Show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown DC.

The Loudoun County Department of Construction and Waste Management encourages everyone to give the Earth a gift this holiday season by recycling and reducing waste. From Thanksgiving to New Years Day, household waste in the U.S. increases by 25% or one-million tons a week.  Here are some suggestions to cut down on waste during the holidays: 

 

 

 

 

Deadline to Pay Real Property Tax is December 5

From the County of Loudoun:

Treasurer H. Roger Zurn Jr. reminds taxpayers that the deadline for payment of the second half real property tax is Monday, December 5, 2011.

Payments postmarked after December 5, 2011, will incur a 10% late payment penalty. The penalty date will not be extended for bills where assessment questions have been filed with the Board of Equalization.  Additional interest at the rate of 10% per annum will be assessed.
