Citizen Makes Considerable Contribution to Child Safety Cause

From the Leesburg Police Department:

On 1-31-2011, the Leesburg Police Citizen Support Team and Leesburg Police Explorer Post #1041 received an interesting shipment, a brand new McGruff the Crime Dog.   It never would have happened without the help of Leesburg resident Dawn Rizzoni.   While Ms. Rizzoni was making a donation of toys over the holidays at the Leesburg Police headquarters, she learned about the Explorer Post, their work using the “old” McGruff the Crime Dog and their goal to buy a “new” and up to date McGruff.  Ms. Rizzoni immediately expressed an interest in helping and a few weeks later, the two groups received a check from Ms. Rizzoni for over four thousand dollars.
