Local Students Decorate Washington's Airports at Annual Tree Trimming Celebration

Join the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority for the sweet sensation of decorating trees at its 5th annual tree-trimming celebration. This year’s theme is “Celebrate the Holidays on Candy Lane”. Students from the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland will deck Reagan National and Dulles International trees with theme-related ornaments. The trees will be on display for passengers and visitors to enjoy throughout the month of December.

Grand Opening of New Senior Center & Library Administration is October 22

From the County of Loudoun:

The public is invited to the grand opening of The Senior Center of Leesburg and the Loudoun County Public Library administrative offices at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011. The Loudoun County Public Library and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services will host the opening ceremony at the newly-renovated facility located at 102 North Street, N.W., in Leesburg, which formerly housed the administrative offices of the Loudoun County Public Schools.

The capital project involved the phased renovation of approximately 34,000 square feet and included interior architectural, mechanical and electrical renovations, as well as exterior improvements and renovation work, site work and site improvements.
