Kidz Act Holds Auditions In Early January For “FAIRY TALE COURTROOM”

Leesburg, Virginia — Does your child have a flair for the dramatic? If so, then sign them up to audition for a part in the upcoming production of “Fairy Tale Courtroom”, directed by Christine Denning, Owner and Director of Kidz Act of Leesburg. Free auditions will be held at a Leesburg location on January 6 and 7, and offer a great educational experience for budding thespians.

“Fairy Tale Courtroom” a delightful, hilarious play written by Dana Proulx has been produced hundreds of times nationally and internationally, including twice at the Hong Kong Play Festival. The play’s two main characters and two of the biggest Fairy Tale Villains, the Big, Bad Wolf & The Wicked Witch, have been running around from story to story wreaking havoc and trying to prevent the general public from living happily ever after.  Several other familiar fairy tale characters testify for and against the accused perpetrators in the courtroom. The three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood show up to make sure the Big Bad Wolf gets his just deserts. Snow White and Dorothy, along with Hansel and Gretel, are among the many characters who recount the wrong-doings of the Wicked Witch. The fate of each villain is in the audience's hands as they are the jury!

Participants lucky enough to be chosen to participate in “Fairy Tale Courtroom” will spend the 2011 Winter/Spring semester training and rehearsing for a full-scale theater production for a 270-seat theatre.
