St. Patrick's Day at City Square Cafe Serves Homemade Corned Beef and Cabbage

City Square Café in Old Town Manassas, Va. is featuring an all- day celebration with an Irish pub bar and traditional corned beef and cabbage with parsley potatoes for $16.99 per person, not including tax and gratuity. The St. Patrick’s Day special will be featured on St. Patrick’s Day, Thurs., Mar. 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Live entertainment will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with traditional Irish performances. This Saturday and Sunday (Feb 5-6) is wine and soup weekend at Bogati Bodega and Winery. Wine and soup, a great way to warm you up! Grab your husband, wife, or friend and drag them out of the house and take the chill off! Sit in front of our fireplace with a hot, freshly prepared bowl of soup and a glass of wine. $14 per person includes a bowl of soup and glass of wine. Advance reservations suggested. Children are welcome.

Kabob & Falafel Celebrates New Restaurant at South King Street Ctr: Ribbon Cutting Friday, Jan. 21

From the Town of Leesburg – At 4:00 p.m., on Friday, January 21, 2011, Town of Leesburg officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Kabob & Falafel located at 828 South King Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg.  Mayor Kristen C. Umstattd will be officiating.

Located in the South King Street Shopping Center, Kabob & Falafel features the culinary creations of Chef Rida.  Chef Rida was head chef at the former Fettouch Restaurant in Washington, DC during the 1980s.  The Lebanese-inspired menu provides a variety of options, ranging from traditional tabbouleh salad to kabobs, gyros and falafels.  Open for lunch and dinner, Kabob & Falafel offers a casual, family-friendly atmosphere.  All menu items are cooked to order using only the freshest ingredients.

Scores gathered recently for a Dinner for a Food Cause, an elegant dinner and silent auction at the beautiful Restaurant at Patowmack Farm in Lovettsville, VA. They were there to support INMED Partnerships for Children, a local organization that’s making an international difference. INMED is a nonprofit development organization that rescues children around the world from immediate and irreversible harm and prepares them for a brighter future.
